How I think

Design is a thinking tool, not a deliverable.

The real work is not the wireframe or the UI — it's understanding what's broken, why it matters, and what success looks like for the people using the product. Whether it's a safety-critical drone system or a consumer game where users churn in seconds, the goal is the same: reduce friction at exactly the right moment.

How I lead

Leadership approach

I run design as a system: recurring critiques with clear intent (not “show and tell”), async written context before meetings, and a hiring bar that balances taste with product judgment. Designers own slices of the roadmap but share a common quality bar — so work stays coherent across squads.

About

Design is a thinking tool,
not a deliverable.

I've worked at the extremes — software where a wrong tap could halt a drone mid-mission, and consumer games where a confusing screen means a player churns in three seconds. The discipline is the same. Define the risk, understand the user under pressure, design to reduce friction at exactly the right moment.
